I posted here a few months  about my 43mm Showa non adjustable forks.
Installed new seals, adjusted preload for my weight and used Silkolene Pro 7.5 oil.
I am very pleased with the forks now.  But when I hit a small hard edged bump.  I can feel the shock thru the bars.
Where should I start;  oil level, oil weight or modify damper unit.
I know everyone will recommend adjustable forks. I turned 75 yesterday.  So I probably never be good enough rider to appreciate the difference.
Thanks  Sterling

I have the same forks on my 96 M900. If you can find a suspension guy that can install race-tech gold valves with the correct shim stack for our northeast cart paths those bone jarring bumps will disappear. Once you get forks set right for you and your riding conditions there's very little need to adjust.
