To repair/replace a leaking fork seal?
One of mine blew out while i was out riding the mountain last night.
I've had the front end apart many times, but have never taken the tubes apart.
Also have no idea about what parts will be required or where to get them.

Well, try cleaning the seal first. Just get the googles to tell you "fix leaking fork seal"

If that's not the solution - not particularly hard. Depending on the fork model some special tools might be needed. And a fork spring compressor, like the RaceTech one is sure handy. And some sort of seal driver will be needed to seat new seals. But, I'm figuring that you can deal with the tool things.

But it's not really hard.

Messy - sure.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

If the bike were newer, maybe I'd try the 35mm film trick. Maybe worth a try anyway.  ??? Google it.

Really how hard is it to repair a leaky fork seal ..Not hard at all , Part orientation is a must  ( 1st out last In ) , Oil lvl is important , But what will get you the most is the tools , I do all my race suspension work to all my race bikes so i invested in tools ( seal driver , Oil measuring tool, Damper rod tool ,  fork spring compressor tool) once you get the tools lined up it's a about and hour and half max worth of work . if you need to get super techy which not necessary for you street riding i would go with spring to match your weight ..etc

  Thanks guys.
Now that the weather has turned cooler, i've got a few months to look into it.
It needs a couple of other things looked at as well.
I plan to do them all at once and have it ready for riding season.
