I am trying to remove a torn valve stem seal from my 1100ds engine that has 7mm stems, and I can not for the life of me see how to get the thing out! It appears to have a metal collar around the base of the seal. Can anyone provide a bit of advice on this?
Thanks for any assistance!

Metal collar/sleeve, but inside is rubber.

Fairly stout pull to get 'em off.

Thanks, now to figure out how to get ahold of it! Not much rubber left, it shredded when I pulled on it!

Well, as long as I had the head off, I took my flex shaft machine ans used a carbide burr to cut though the dam thing, then I peeled it off!
