Hello Ladies ans Gentlemen! A few weeks go my trusty Kawasaki Versys was involved in an accident and was a total right off. Tomorrow morning I will receive a check from an insurance company and this Saturday night I will ride away with a friends 1100 EVO.

I have a CL350 dissasembled in boxes (project), a CR125, and partial owner of a Duke 390 (its my girlfriends ride). I have had experiences with older Ducatis, mainly my fathers Cagiva Elefant 650, and some old desmos but this will be my first Ducati. I have been riding since I was 12 and have always been about the odd bikes. That's why I ended up with a Gen 1 Versys and spending entirely to many resources on suspension so it would piss people off in the corners. The Monster is going to be a new chapter of riding for me and I cant wait to see what she can do and I cant wait to be "that guy" asking dumb questions.

Anyways, this is me! Anyone here from the Winchester/Middleburg area?

And for the record, was that a Don Hertzfeldt reference?

Try to keep the front wheel on the ground.  ;) You probably know, but for any bits you might need, see Nathan at Duc Pond, one of the nicest and most knowledgeable parts managers you'll ever meet..., with a saint-like abundance of patience!  :)

If you ride locally in traffic a lot, you might want to consider a 14T front sprocket.

Oh I know those guys pretty well. I usually go to John Ross, the guy who opened Ride on Moto in town. He used to own Shenandoah Honda and I have been buying bikes off of him since I was 12. However, I think I'll be spending more time at Duc Pond from here on out.

Welcome to the club! Just bought an 1100 EVO, as well, and I LOVE it.

Now if I can just scrounge up enough cash for all the extra bits I want...

We lived in Martinsburg for 17 long long months, and my wife worked at Shenandoah U there in Winchester.  There are some great roads out to the west of you.
