Can one of you tech geniuses tell me how I might move/copy wholesale a thread that was posted on the DML?  I'd like to get Tigre's AMA thread on here.  I'd rather not try to monitor it in two places.  I can probably figure something out, but I'm hoping there's a quick fix for me.

The person to ask would be Squeak.  From what I understand is that there is an easy way to do this IF you have access to the dml back-end.  If not, then you are basically stuck doing a copy/paste for bit of text you want.

**I am NOT an expert in this, this is just me regurgitating info that I saw elsewhere**

MM seemed to do a bit of that with the Local Resources thread. Not sure if he just scraped HTML though.

Just edited my original post, copied, and pasted in here. It's the same board software as the old board, so all the markup works fine.

Belle - I can't seem to find that thread on the legacy board. And their search doesn't work...can you point me to it?

Belle -

Instead of moving the entire thread, why not start a new one here with the original markup? Here's the original post:

Thanks for the feedback.  I was hoping to be able to include all the replies and dialogue with it, but I'll just start a new thread here.  I'll direct potential helpers to come here to check the thread from now on.  Unfortunately I'm unable to modify my first post (f*ckers...) to let people know that.  I will continue to check over there and p.m. peeps as needed to spread the word.  Once again, I can't express my gratitude enough for all the folks to who had the foresight to set this new site up.  The old DML is horrible now.   Lips Sealed  I'm so glad that we have this place.   wt:
