Hi - 97 M900 with front "semi-floating" rotors...that don't really seem to float.  Is there a way to take them apart and make them closing to floating rotors?  Is it doable/advisable?  Asking as I've watched a few youtube videos where this was done on other bikes.  Part of the reason is I am painting the carrier part and thought it would also be easier to paint unattached vs. taping everything off.

You can buy replacement buttons that turn them into real floaters.

Thanks for the link. Thought about the BFG hammer, but figured I'd ruin them.
