.... not sure where IT went .... the one and only black key to a bike that is being rebuilt; I have all locks on tank, seat lock and ignition lock along with ignition transponder, ecu and gauges ... and title doc in hand ....but was not given a key or it was lost in transport ...

I'm into this some bucks & time; so wondering how if I can get at least a couple of working black keys made at a little expanse .... I did have some duplicate black keys made from "silica" keys a long time ago; but I had an original duc key in that case ... so ... with no keys; how can I get keys made without going to muco - expensio ....? suggestion's appreciated. You will have to send them your ecu and possibly the dash. They can get the code. Give them a call. Wont  be cheap probably around 600-700

Send the ecu out to be reprogrammed to Ducati Performance specs w/immobilizer turned off.

~$250.

Use any ignition switch you want.

theyll charge you extra for the immobilizer. probably a 100 bucks more but it is a cheaper option

where can I get an ecu reprogramed; and (sorry to ask a somewhat obvious question) what would "Ducati performance spec" do for the bike / engine?

More fuel & a proper ignition curve.  Also eliminates the wacky and super lean oxygen sensor input.

Houston Superbikes has done work for me in the past and NEVER charged extra for disabling the immobilizer.  YMMV.

You could go to your local board on this forum and ask for a recommendation there.  Our sponsor, Moto Wheels can do Rexxer flash, but you need to send them the ECU.  IMO, what the immobilizer does best is keep the authorized rider from operating the bike.
