About to replace my rear rotor on my 2013 M1100 EVO, and want to know if it's possible to remove it from the right side (wheel side) of the bike for replacement. Manual shows pics of it with entire hub removed. Am I right in thinking that I can unbolt the ABS phonic ring then unbolt the rotor and slide it up and over the wheel spindle, or is this not possible?

Also replacing fried ABS sensor and new brake line, anything special about dealing with either of those?

Thanks!

Completely. Replacing master cylinder, caliper, rotor, ABS sensor (holy shit that stupid cable was $280) and brake line. Cocked piston seized the caliper and completely destroyed rotor, which in turn burned everything up.

I've done several and always pulled the hub.

This also gives you the opportunity to inspect for further overheating damage, something you should do considering what happened.
