Ok just as it says.. the switch has two wires  a white and a black..  but to the switch there is 4  wires.. I'm not sure what ones  to splice into .. I have a red with a black stripe a red with a white stripe a blue and a white.. anyone knows I'd be very appreciative

Which Monster are you working on?

There's probably 20 different wiring harnesses amongst ~25 years of Monsters.....

On the wiring diagram I have with my manual it says engine stop is two wires r/ bk which I'd assume is red with black stripe.. the other is p/bk which no clue what that is with the color wires I described seeing coming off the switch

stopintime

Those color codes are explained somewhere. Can't quite remember where, but I'm guessing on the diagram.

Well it's frustrating  Bc I have no pink wires ..at all.. makes it difficult

The wiring diagram color specs are only valid for the harness itself.

Accessory parts that plug into the harness do not necessarily have the same wire color.

Your owners manual has the same color code diagram callouts as what stopintime posted.

Well my bike is bone stock but there is no pink wire in the plastic sleeve to shutoff .. that's why I'm at a loss

According to the wiring diagram the Blue and White is for the starter button.

Use the other two, and see what happens. ;)

You can download a diagram here... http://www.ducatiusa.com/services/maintenance/index.do

or there is one in your owners manual.

Interestingly, the pink/blk wire is shown in your diagram, and it is common to both switches.

Ha yeah I see that's in my wiring diagram the pink is common, just weird I see no pink wire lol, I'll use the other two wires tho and see what happens

Just a thought, Might need to clean the actual wires and possibly now it'll look pink? I know when they get dirty and/or old color changes slightly.
