Do the 'pucks' have a part #  ???

I have for some time had a singing/pinging noise that we can't locate. Almost gone when warm.

Very few, if any, pucks left... so I thought it won't hurt to add some...

At desmduck.com the "vibration damper pad" part number for my 695 is 700.1.027.1A
I just took them all out expecting better cooling (there were about fifty of the things blocking airflow) and it does seem to run a couple of degrees cooler - not a big change.  I can't hear the difference with the noise from my pod filters, and I always wear earplugs, but it seems like flocks of birds are following me...

Aha - thanks - I didn't see it at my first look in 'my' diagram  [thumbsup]

I have a huge baggie of em somewhere from my 944 build, you're welcome to em for the cost of P&P.

That's very kind, but I'm in Norway so shipping might be more than getting them from the dealer....

Geez, I just looked it up and quite possibly this might be the only dealer part <$1.00   ???

You're smart for reusing those...everyone told me "don't bother" when I rebuilt and painted my engine, but when things are rattling and clanking, it's nice to automatically know as much as possible everything you can scratch off the list of potential gremlins. Apparently they protect against a potential cracked fin and do work to effectively eliminate a slight "tinging" (if you can even hear it over your clutch and pipes)
