Taillight screw replacement

I recently lost one of the screws that holds in the taillight lens and can't find a replacement that fits right.  Do I need to order one from the dealer or is there a known American-style replacement?  I bought some 8x1.5" metal screws that looked right, but their threads are slightly wider, 17 per inch compared to 18 on the Ducati screw.

It's for a 2000 M900S.

I'm sure they're out there, but the dealer is an easy bet I reckon.
