620 Monster TPS help needed

Hi guys,
I purchased a non running 620 Monster as a project as I’ve always wanted a Ducati and this one came up at a good price. The bike had been vandalised (dash and headlight area were smashed up with a steel bar or something) anyway, the owner bought 2k of new parts to fix it but lost all the keys while moving house. In the end he gave up and sold it to me.
I have had keys cut and the ecu virginised and got it running, however it is super rich to the point of pouring black smoke out of the pipes and being unrideable. Using iawdiag software I found that the trim is set to 104 and the tps was constantly reading 85 deg. When I removed the tps it sprang back slightly and then read 2.90 deg. When I turn the tps it jumps straight from 2.9 to 85 degrees there is no progressive increase in voltage. I have replaced the tps and the new one is the same. All wiring is good. I am thinking of trying to reflash a different file to my ecu before spending money on a new one but am unsure how this will affect the immobiliser.
Any ideas would be most welcome.

What year monster, what year flash? Are you sure it has the correct TPS for the flash?

but then back to M620 after the M800 died at 110k, and now to Multi 1000.

It’s a 2002 model. I have no idea if it’s been flashed or not. I can only assume it was running ok before it was vandalised. How can I tell if the software matches the tps?

Actually had some success. I saved the bin file from my ecu and then wrote it back and now it works! No sure what’s going on there...
