Have you ever seen a 851 Tri Colore? Only a few over 200 made World Wide and only 20 made it to the USA.  I first saw one at Hockenheim,Germany in 1989 during a Munich Ducati Club day at the famous track. I was in the military at the time and on temporary duty at Ramstein Air Base. It is amazing at how simple the bike was compared to today. For instruments all this had was a water temp gauge and a tach. However if you were a Ducati guy at the time this bike was pretty trick with water cooling, four valves per cylinder, fuel injection, and a monoshock frame and even six speed gearbox. Today that is nothing special.
