Maybe you've been doing it too - can't go to work so you've been cruising Ebay and Craigslist looking at bikes?   [coffee] Well, the Hyper I've been wanting (I'm typing this in the house with the door locked so my Monster doesn't find out) is up on Craigslist all the way across the country.   The seller seems straight up and I'd probably just trust him, but I'm wondering if there's a brokerage service available for this sort of purchase.  Sort of like Ebay does for both parties, holding the payment until the item is shipped, for a fee.  Also, I see lots of shipping companies - can anyone recommend one?

Thanks
Alan

I've been spending too much time on eBay, but projects help with cabin fever.

Check out Forward Air.

BCM in NH always used them when they were open.

I bought a Benelli off ebay and conned my Brother into delivering it to me with the promise of a Lobster dinner.

Don't know if that helps

The first Ducati I ever bought was a 2000 M900ie that I won on ebay.  Worked it out with the seller that I could give him a deposit and ship the bike in, then pay him the rest, then he'd send me the title so I could register it.

This guy was on the up and up so it worked out just fine.

… I think what your looking for is an "escrow" service" I think that's a legal term; they are the middle man that holds your money until the item is delivered; but without saying you have to be carful of scammer fake "escrow"ers too ! … (and not to be confused with escort service, you might end up with something totally different; but at least you got properly F****d  [evil])
