How hard is it to replace a fuel injector? Any caveats, tips or links to instruction on this process?

thanks

Easy.

Just takes time to get to them. I think air box removal is enough.

If you're going to go that far, have the injectors flow bench tested first.

So I did buy a used throttle body on eBay with Fuel Injectors from a 06 S2r 800 with 7k miles. They look very clean. Figure it's worth a shot for $50. My question now is should I replace both with the ones from this set or just the problem one? Are they matched? I figured my bike has over 22k miles so might be best to do both so one doesnt have more gunk build up, corrosion etc. than the one with less miles. If I do get them flow tested anyone know where?

Thanks!

$17.50 each?  Cheap insurance.  I am saving that site.

wondering if I should just replace the fuel filter at the same time to cover all the bases, that looks fairly easy and inexpensive to do. If so should I go OEM for $40 or try the MAHLE KL filter for about $20 less?

Mahle KL is what I've used for the last 10 years or so.

I don't remember details, but I R&R'd some injectors to unstick them and the attachment screws were very uncooperative.

Possibly corrosion, loctite, and/or small tool engagement.

Pretty sure it was an ST2.

Try squirting carb cleaner; not as through as full service injector cleaning; also have seen some ways to test and squirt injector cleaner through injectors while out of the bike.

I had a s2r 1 k that was bought after sitting out in the weather; took apart the whole bike, and stored for 8 years; I paid close attention to cleaning and recleaning the injectors knowing they gum up and effect performance, cleaned with carb cleaner and carefully brushed them when I took the TB & injectors out and let them thoroughly dry; stored in a clean plastic zip locked bagbag in a box; then before install; did more cleaning and drying. That was 2 yrs ago; just started er up last weekend without issues.
