If you didn't know there used to be another company that made motorcycles in Bologna, Italy and that was Moto Morini. They made some fine middleweight motorcycles that were light and handled very well. Note in this article that the author said the Moto Morini Camel handled better in the dirt than the BMW GS of that time. Note also that the Morini used very short rubber belts for opening the valves just like Ducati has since the Pantah 500. Of course the Panigales all use chains now.
