Europe trip, need advice

I would like to do a tour including London, Paris, and Rome for about two weeks next year.
Right now it looks like I'll be solo, since my friends are broke and/or just don't want to go bad enough.  Do to the solo status, I am thinking of going to an agent for a group kind of thing.  I wouldn't mind doing the hostel thing either though.  I have lived out of a MINI in a different city for a weekend.  At least there's a bed there. 

My question is... for those of you that have done something similiar, what kind of cost am I looking at?  I am not opposed to the cheap route.

I am not too worried about going solo.  There is enough in the three cities to keep me nothing but busy for the entirety of the trip, regardless of how little I would probably sleep to take in as much as possible.

I did one of those 18-35 yo bus tours. The vast majority of the group were solo female travellers - 22 f, 7 m and 4 couples. I took the top level hotel option but there were lower grade accomodation tours. It's so nice having all the logistics taken care off. You just enjoy. Drink whenever you want. Everyone is set on having a good time. It was well worth it.

I just came back from a trip similar to what Wanwo did.  It was with a company called GoAhead Tours and I spent 16 days in Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.  The majority of the people on the trip were older couples (40's-60's), but really nice people.  It was around $4000 which includes airfare, hotels (which were all nice), breakfast every morning and most of your dinners as well.  I would definitely use them again for a trip somewhere else.    http://www.goaheadtours.com/

Nothing wrong with going solo in Europe and it might be more fun.  I met a ton of solo travellers when I was on the sleeper car from France to Italy.  Of course, they were mostly women..several from US, Canada and AUS.  

I wouldn't mind doing a group tour though and not have to worry about a thing like previously mentioned but you are on their time without the freedoms to take you wherever you want to go.  

I would start making some DMF-Euro connections on here right now!    Might be able to stay a night here and there with the local Ducatisti and get a ride in!!  [moto]

Since you aren't worried about staying at the hostels, you can save a few bucks.

and "Sleep"..don't worry about it!  You can catch up on that on the plane ride back!!

I have to watch the movie now!  When we saw it in the movie theatre (the s/o and I), we were the only ones laughing!      It wasn't "RoadTrip" by any means that first time seeing it but the movie grw on my after about 10 times seeing it!   



Hey FWTCBY..just remember..if you go to the nude beaches, they look a lot like the International House of Sausage.  It's a real sausage-fest!  Luckily, I went with a girlfriend so I didn't look too gay!    
Best to avaid them, unless, it's a private beach that you pay for!!  Then you might actually see some women.

Not going to lie, fat bare assed italians is not my idea of a good time.  Probably avoid them altogether.  Sometimes the payoff is just not worth the cost.  Really I am not disillusioned enough to think it would be any other way though.
