said cab does NOT pair well w/anything.

it goes well w/meat. of the plain S&P variety.

the fennel and anise of italian sausage killls it.



but anyway. it's best w/a rare steak. no more, no less.

well, less is ok. I can drink it by itself on the daily, given that level of disposable income

You have, without question, a much better ability to remember what you drank and why you liked it.  I tend to use such important phrases as "That label looks familar.  I think I liked it....."
