Does the bulb looks about 1 inch long (the glass part) and looks like it has 2 filaments inside? thats an H4 if it is the case.

Measure the length behind the seat of the bulb. I will tell you if you can fit a bixenon in there. You may opt for that because running HIDs usually mean no high beam.

I'm going to go get the Phillips extreme bulbs. says it throws 80% more light and 50 ft longer. plus DOT legal.

UPDATE:

MOM is WRONG!

the low beam is a H7 .

HIGH beam is actually a H1.

i totally forgot that since these are modern reflective housing lights you can look right on the lens in the bottom right corner and it tells you right there what the bulb type is.  its like that on most cars these days too.  bang head

im putting in my order for a kit from the website posted in this thread.  any ideas or tips as to where to mount the ballast/igniter?

NO CRAP you are right, after looking at the bike the upper lamp is an H7 while the lower is not.
NOW all we have to do is get Ducati to change our manual  Shocked

how long would the wires be, maybe mount them in the area behind the fairing with the horn?

i took off all the fairings and the carbon canister to give the bike a more naked look.  now i really have no where to put a ballast.  Huh?

really?! sweet i will have to look into mounting them there.  GL with your lighting setup Raux.

BTW the company posted in the beg. of this thread seems really good.  they will even do a hybrid kit for only 15 dollars extra(basically they will give you 2 ballast/igniters, but with an H7 and an H1 instead of 2 of only one bulb type).  i thought that was really cool of them to allow custom orders like that.  plus you cant beat the size of those ballast...i have never seen any that small before.

I am taking my off tomorrow, so i'll let you know if you haven't checked already.
