Just heard on the news that someone passed in an accident on the 405 (Sherman Oaks).  I think a big rig was involved.  Hopefully it was nobody from this board...sucks...

i saww the firetruck from that accident the other day was going oppposte way, traffic backed up like a parking lot over the hill all the way down to the 10fry and from teh looks of it it was a parking lot as far as you could see down the 405. the 10 frwy going east started to back up to a parking lot back to the pch bc everyone on the ramp for the 405 north was parked.

the accident from waht i could saee was some sort of a full touring harley maroon/red colorored front faring on it, that is all i could see when i passed by, ambulence was gone by that time, only firetruck and literally about 5 cop cars and 10 cops just standing around doing nothing at all in the hov lane talking... no they were not measureing accident stuff nor were they directing traffic, there were a couple literally two guys doing the accident scene investigation the rest wwere sitting on the cneter divider chilling out at the cars...

tow truck was there about to get the bike and such... but hadn't moved it yet from teh hov lane,

the road was literally a parking lot, now  i knwo how bad the 405 traffic can get.

Yeah, sorry.  I posted it the second after I heard it on the news.  Only then did I think to myself:  "Maybe I shouldn't have even posted it".  Whatever maybe it will make someone ride safer and avoid the same thing happening to them.

Nah man, post away, it's just sad to hear about a rider getting killed out there.

I swear I've heard about a motorcycle involved accident at least every other day the last 2 weeks. I think at least a third of them have been fatal.  Undecided
