If you have seen many Sport Classics, you have noticed the Zard Exhaust for them. Is there anyone who can use photoshop to fit that to an S2R? Here is an example of an S2R (not mine)... I know that the lower exhaust will fit with no issues, as both bikes use the same motor and the SSS will clear it fine. However, the upper exhaust looks like it will be a problem where it runs behind the frame tube behind the cylinder head. The frame tube or exhaust may need to be modified to fit, as well as relocating the rear master cylinder reservoir. It may be easiest to cut the exhaust underneath the heat shield on the header fabricate an s-bend to run through the triangle on the frame where the master cylinder is sitting. I would like to see what it may look like before I consider buying a $1500 exhaust and hacking it up Thanks

I know about cutting up a new Zard (done that) About that SC system is think you have to pay for a lot you can't use If you want two dampers you could buy two Yamaha YZF 600 R6 Zard slipons (ZY090SSO) and mount them like the Hyper

I would use the complete system, the only thing changed would be one s-bend where it runs behind the frame tube. It seems like that would be much simpler than fabricating whole new headers.

That lower damper is very close to the ground on the SC ,i have seen a SC with that setup and the lower damper had a flatspot

We have that exhaust on our Sport Classic project. We were looking into building a system like that for our Monster project. Note how the breather is installed on an extention. Check out the curved swingarm that allows the muffler to tuck in. I love this exhaust. It is what inspired me to buy the SportClassic. It sounds like an old classic DUC. Very deep-very loud. Almost Harley like. It pulls hard from down low (1000RPM+). Designed right for an S2R, it would kick ass. -M

Nice job w/ the Photoshop I think it looks good! It would be tricky to get the top pipe to weave in and out of the frame...but the rear wheel looks good when it's fully exposed like that.

Note how the breather is installed on an extension.
Hey Moto, Is that breather extension sold separately? I may have a use for that.

If by "noticed" you mean "lusted after," then yes, I have "noticed" that Zard exhaust. uh, 696 pipes do that.
