Being the world's biggest Rossi Fanboy, I have to say that I am more disappointed in the lack of good racing than I am in anything else. I was giddy as a schoolgirl through the race at Laguna...

Yeah, I mentioned it before, but I fear the old Casey is starting to emerge again.  I think he's just pushing harder and harder trying to break Rossi, and eventually dumps the bike.  He doesn't want to race head to head with him, but he's dumping the bike trying to ride away.

I'm with you man.  Since Laguna it seems that Casey has tried to make it a point to show everyone that HE is the fastest guy out there and noone can touch him.  It seems to work in qualifying and practice but hasn't been very fruitful during race distance.  Aside from that it was extremely boring race and I ended up fastforwarding till the end.

There were some really good battles further back in the pack.  Dovi, Vermuelen, Toseland and Capi had some really nice battles and Marco even diced it up a bit as he climbed through the field.

Being the cheapskate that I am, I am forced to watch the leader and the battle for 2nd and 3rd while they almost completely ignore the good fights further back. Wish they would back off the leader coverage when he gets out a few seconds ahead and focus moe on the good battles for position.

the 250 race was excellent.  barbera was a beast.  I am surprised pasini and simoncelli (and the rest of italy) didn't torch his trailor after the race.

+1 on all counts.  When is that nutcase going to graduate to the big bikes? Shocked

I don't understand what's happened with Stoner.  He can do dozens of laps at an utterly blinding pace in the practice sessions, then dump it in, what, eight laps in the race.  WTF? Undecided

(if you have a motogp.com account)

Stoner explains Misano crash

what he says sounds a bit like an excuse, or an attempt to put the blame on others.  but that's generally his speaking style.

also a funny tidbit at the end about tires and pedro.

That interview pretty much sums up why I don't like Stoner.

jeez...

"i'm the fastest rider, whether or not we finish those races..."  Roll Eyes

it's funny, with all that "advantage" he says he currently has over rossi, he's 75 points behind him in the championship.

and regarding pedrosa/bridgestone and "people always want what they can't have"... how about wanting some tires that work? hell, even colin sounded like he was almost ready to jump the michelin ship after laguna.

casey lives in his own little dream world. i woulda thought that this season would be a wake-up call for him.

nope.

Colin's pretty done with them too.
