Has anyone installed the Ducati Short Rear Guard in place of the stock tail on their monster?  This is the one I'm talking about:

http://www.ducati.com/shop/product.jsp?catid=cat960140&prodid=prod790128

Any pics of the part installed?  I don't want to do a chop, but the stock turn signals and tail are pretty crowded with my new Termis so I'm looking for options.  Cheers.

Quite a few members has it - you will soon have their pictures, if everything works normally around here Wink

Awesome; that looks great, and thanks for posting the pic.  What turn signals are those?

That is the best non chop mod.  If I lived in a year round rainy climate I would so do that.

(if i hadn't already chopped mine)

The Monsterparts one says $259...  isn't the Ducati one about the same price?  I think I've seen them at the dealer for $250-ish

I'm pretty sure those are the Shock LED directionals. I have the same thing on the front of my bike.

I got my CF no-chop on Ebay.

Here it is installed with the new Rizoma Zero-11's.

I got the DP billet signals because I couldn't find any other signals w/ a stalk that matched nicely, but I guess I didnt' think about mounting the Rizomas the way your did. Those Rizoma Zero-11s look real good mounted flush against the carbon tail!

I made my own:

It's a crappy angle for this thread, so I'll get a better angle later.  Basically, I took off my rear guard and "fabbed" (Read: I cut some aluminium strips to make brackets) some brackets to hold the lights.

My goal was to reveal more frame without chopping it, so I still have the full-benefit of a fender keeping my back dry.

Thats funny. I wanted to use the DP billet signals but I didn't because they were too much freakin' money!  laughingdp
