The new one is the one with Beat Takesihi? If so, then I agree, if for only the better production values.

Now Friday the 13 is exactly what I was talking about about being old enough to be mentally raped twice by the same movie. However, I will probably never see the remake so as not to ruin my high school memories of seeing the gawdawful original at the theater.

I bet the do remakes of the Toxic Avenger series too.
