Hi ladies!
Thanks Msincredible for the link! I didn't see this forum when i first came on, and am very happy you sent it to me.
I have only been riding for a little over a month and just bought my first bike an new 696 (all thanks spankee!) the first week of august...so i am definitley a newbie. What is great is that i have been able to ride almost every single day since i got the bike, even if it is just to the gym. I usually ride alone, occasionally i have a guy friend come with me, but i would love to go out for a group ride or to a bike night if anyone lives in NJ.  Smiley I actually went to a bike night (rt22 hooters, NJ) by myself last week and felt a little out of place being by myself;  I would love to go to another one, but hopefully not alone! (was asked by a large group of guys where my crew was....my response "Uh...don't have one?")...anyways,  i absolutely love riding, at the end of the day there is nothing i would rather do more than go out for a ride. Makes me forget about my crazy work day and puts me in a great mood...

where in jeerz??...  I'm in NYC.  There's a large group of monster riders in the area.. can't walk a block here in the city without tripping over one.

don't forget to check the NYMMC in the local section  you can find your "crew" there if you like  Wink

NY/NJ/PA/CT

in the beginning and end of the season when it's still chilly I stick to NY (Harriman, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess), stuff at or under an hour to get to.

When it's warm,  I'm most apt to ride farther for the good twisties,  mostly the Catskill area and Delaware Water Gap areas.

mypetmonster,

Im in northern NJ and I have a small group of buds that we ride with on most Sundays during the season.
We're all seasoned, responsible riders, and are allways willing to help out newbees.
(we we're all there once)
I even considered leading a newbee (or mellow non psycho pace) ride or 2 during the season and this year we may actually pull it off.
Please feel free to e mail me if you'd like to join us for a ride anytime during the season.

Glad to hear that spankee helped you out (she's my girl) hope your enjoying your new ride and welcome to the family.
