SOMEBODY please pick up the fourth one down, that is one sweet 1098. The thing comes with a full Termi exhaust installed and tuned to perfection. WHY DO I NOT HAVE ANY MONEY!!!! Oh wait, b/c I am saving for the 12K service on the Monster and don't have any extra cash. (Oh yeah and that wife is about to pop in 7 weeks). Wait, wait, the kid will need a bike won't he? Hmm, I still don't think that I can get this one to swing past the wife with a 'go-ahead'.

Get in an arguement about something inane.  Push her until she yells "Just do whatever the make the beast with two backs you want" then buy it . . . after all . . . she gave you permission.  Evil

Yeah sorry, I have been working like crazy lately. We're listed at Target under Mallory Hayford and baby will be named Lance.

The Doc

PS: Neikos is not included in the registry, sorry dude you had nothing to do with it. Sadly enough they don't have Ducs there either . . . otherwise one might have gotten slipped on the list.

Umm, yeah I'm sure you had nothing to do with it, however if you buy me that 1098 you can take the credit, pay the bills, heck you can even have hospital visits if you want, oh yeah, and we will hand him off to you for diaper duty! Grin That will leave me with more time to  [moto]

Thanks for the heads-up... I was really lookin' for an ST4s model.  There's also a pretty blue ST4 (non-S) in Damascus that's been advertised on and off for a month or two, and that one's only $5500.  Drive to Idaho to save $500?  Nah.

At this point, I'm gonna keep riding the SS and saving my pennies for a variety of things...

A) down payment/closing costs on house (those no-down-payment deals still require around 3% cash on hand to cover closing costs...3% of a sh*tload of money is still a lot of money)

B) new LCD computer monitor ($400-$500 for a decent 24"+ model at 1920x1200 resolution)

C) Canon G9 digital point-and-shoot camera (to complement my SLR film camera)

D) proper motorcycle pants

E) furnishings for my dining room/office (bookcase, desk, office chair, file cabinet)

F) AR-15 lower receiver (if it looks like Obama is headed to a win... leftists are likely to try banning so-called "assault weapons" again, and I want another legal serial-numbered AR before Round 2 of the Clinton gun ban)

In addition to the pile of financial considerations (which all told is around the price of an inexpensive Duc)... I'm leaning more toward a Multistrada 1000S or 1100S (the one with Ohlins suspenders).  Those aren't too awfully cheap, but the Multi fits better than the ST.

^^^ Seen that one, been tempted by it for the last month.  I'd love to park one of the special-model superbikes in my garage (or my living room).  Though, if I can afford a 996S, I can afford a Multistroodle 1000S that's been nicely outfitted, and the bike I'm gonna actually use takes higher priority.

On another tangent, who the heck is this?
