Except nothing less than the Grey Goose  Smiley

Tried EFFEN?

Our new favorite.

The EFFEN Black Cherry is pretty darn good for those "lady cocktails."

Crap... didn't see this 'til 5... my home PC is down, so I haven't been online since I left work yesterday.  I'm actually at work right now... I can swing by when I wrap up here in about an hour if that works.

Oh, yeah.  That is the sexiest sport tourer ever made.  Sigh - I miss mine.  996 engine, ohlins bits, cool hard bags, & goes like stink.

Coolest thing ever:  Did you know the pipes angle up 2 1/2 inches when the bags are off?  Instant grond clearance.  Don't know of any bike anywhere that ever had articulated pipes . . .

The dude that (probably) traded it to the BMW dealer will one day regret parting with it . . .

A riding buddy works at that shop BB.  If you're interested I can arrange for you to get some private time and inf. from him on the bike.

Actually... I think I have his business card.  Met him at one of your Thursday drinkin' outings.  Rick?  Yeah, since I'm off this week, I'd like to go over there and have a look.

I'm still torn between the ST4S and the Multi-S.  The Multi is comfortable, flickable, and all-around capable, plus the S-model has the excellent Ohlins suspenders front and rear.  But... it's flippin' ugly.  Undecided  The ST is pretty (especially in the grey/red color scheme... my personal favorite), and you gotta love that 996 mill... but it doesn't seem to fit lanky guys like me quite as well as the Uglystrada, and it's more maintenance-intensive (liquid-cooled Desmoquattro).

Decisions, decisions.  Of course, I can't really afford any of these anyway...  Right now, I'm funding the track bike with debt, and I'll hopefully be paying off the car this December with the bonus from work.  There's also a possibility that I'll make the jump from E1 engineering band to E2, which would be a nice payraise... but that one is a crapshoot.  Might happen, might not.  Definitely not banking on that one.

But regardless of fiscal irresponsibility, I plan to swing by the Tigard BMW shop to look at this ST4S this week.  It's too purdy to pass up the opportunity, and it's not very far from me.

Yeah... except it drags on rather unpleasantly when one gets in over their head in debt as a young adult... Undecided I should know, I have the example of my father, and he's done an excellent job explaining and demonstrating why too much debt too young is such a bad thing.

When I finally get rid of student loans, it'll be a great day.  By then I should have a couple of payraises under my belt, too, making things even better.

More and better toys will come, eventually.  For now I need to focus on enjoying the Ducati I already own.  waytogo

Oooooh.... purdy.  waytogo  I should fix and flip the CBR, sell my '86 GTI project car, and buy that.  If I'm gonna do a track bike, I should do it right... Then I can trade the 900SS or a more comfortable "old man bike" without feeling like an old putz.  Wink
