I think with an S4Rt, slipper clutch, etc, etc ... her Christmas wishlist is getting ticked off just fine thanks. I am sure you troublemakers are more generous with your SOs ... but I'm a tightarse.
Still haven't received any PMs.
... that wench is mine.
Hows the comparison, engines feel the same, vastly different etc??
4 ducati household.....envious!

Well no, they don't really feel the same. The problem is trying to isolate the engine from the package.
The 999 does seem more willing to go but is in all honesty a bit stupid for the street. Trev seems somewhat more restrained ... and a much more useable package on the road.
Having said that it is not really a fair comparison. The 999 has the full termi kit ... Trev is all stock (chip, intake, exhaust). I understand there is some difference within the engines ... someone that actually knows what they are talking about might be able to explain the difference - are the cams different or something?
The 999 you 'have to' ride aggressively ... Trev just encourages you a little.

Its all in the power to weight, the 07 S4RT monster is 22kg lighter at 177kg's and has another extra 3hp than the 03 999 with only 127hp @ a weight of 199kg .Add the short gearing to the monster and bingo cruise missile in the making.

I'm not entirely sure about that.
Didn't Ducati change the way they reported weight and power sometime between '03 and '07?
The 999 definitely has more weight ... but it carries it differently. The 999S is also listed to have 12HP more than the standard 999 - I am sure somebody knows how and why. With the ECU and termis I think I have the edge in power ... but once you consider I more than double any weight advantage the Boss already had and then factor in the relative riding abilities - I know where I sit in the pecking order.

Sorry forgot yours was an S ,Ok it has 6 more hp than the S4RT monster, but the power to weight and gearing makes the monster a much more punchier bike to ride. All have 11.4:1 compression .

The new look for 2011, bit of work around the bikini and gauges.
Some nip/tuck work and going topless for a little while, I've dropped the clipons down 13mm or to the third ring on the forks.
It feels pretty good, looks meaner now. Dez calls it Ghetto dirty.

It looks great, I think the bikini would look a bit "dinky".

Nice work Matty!
Brian wont be happy that you lost the only chrome item on your bike!
And the talk of the ghetto dirty and the removal of the bikini I was hoping for some bare flesh not some big blue dumpster!
Hows that bike going for you Dez?

Chrome? Which bit was that.
Sorry to disappoint you with the picture you had in your head
I think Dez is getting on fine with the new toy. But I'm sure he can tell you more.
