Just wondering how much sh*t you get to your back/helmet on wet/muddy roads after that tail chop ?

Wonder no more...Quite a bit...I rode home from work for lunch, it was a bit moist from some earlier rain... I had to change my pants and shirt (because some of it was sticking out from under my jacket) before I headed back.

took about 30 min this afternoon, when i could see better...
it took loosening both mounting bolts on each carbon canister,
where the L bracket mounts the cans to the frame,
to allow enough play to move the cans upward and forward slightly
to meet the higher mounting point on the hanger....
its a small/ subtle change, not a dramatic as you might think....
judge for yourself....Wink

That is not much difference at all...Oh well...Looks beautiful either way!

OHHH tks SO much!  waytogo

I tried to have my dealer put on some Pro Taper bars, but the wires and cables were too short. I also am a shorter rider and in need of risers or bars. The Rizomas look great. Will try them eventually.

those rizomas are a straight swap,
and DO have quite a bit more rise/ reach to them....
definitely puts you in a more upright/ back position
the control pod on the right hand side, the starter button pod, needed to be rolled SLIGHTLY upward
so that the bars completely clear the tank indents on both sides as cleanly as stock....
no probs, a clean straight bolt-on....
do 'em, youll love 'em....

and enuff cable lines/room???  Brake lines look plentiful tho.

The bolt has an allen head... It's just one holding the baffle in, so take the bolt out and use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove it. Make sure you mark which baffle comes out of which can, just in case you want to put them back in for some reason.

Are those regular or conical Rizoma bars? I am assuming regular.
I am having a guy knock off the Rizoma's in thick guage Ti unless someone
knows of a better brand/set to dupe? He is charging me $200 for the set.
If anyone else is interested let me know, and perhaps we can get a bulk
discount. Nothing rides like Ti  chug

regular, which IIRC is 22 mm....
the difference between regular and conical bars, and hence the name,
is that conicals are larger in diameter in the center, clamping area, to fit a larger riser/ clamp
for a stiffer overall bar....
for example, my s4rs had a conical bar,
the 696 is a traditional bar, which i BELIEVE is 7/8", 22mm.......
replaced this one with a standard 7/8 22mm rizoma red billet....
and as to the knockoff TI, this bar has a great shape,
perfect reach and rise for a more relaxed and upright riding position...

Thanks Laz!

I ordered my custom Ti bars today.
The guy said he will bend them tonite,
and have them shipped tomorrow.
I will post pix when I install.
