Dogs At LAX
«
on:

I'm looking for some help from the locals here.
In a couple weeks we will be in LA on our way to Australia. We will have our 2 dogs with us.
Are there any good parks around LAX that allow dogs? They will be spending a day and a half there until their flight out. I managed to find a hotel that allows dogs at least.
Any suggestions/tips are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

P.S.
Some of the locals may be able to be persuaded to have a beer with ya while you're here.

The Westminster Dog Park in Venice (listed on Speeddogs link) can be a bit rough - tough owners, tough dogs. Seldom am I there without witnessing a dogfight. YMMV.
There's a new(ish) dog park by the Santa Monica Airport is awesome - clean (as dog parks go), nice dogs, nice people, great layout. That said, your pets are required to have SM approved dog tags or risk a ticket. That said, I don't have the tags and have never had an issue.
Lastly, there's a HUGE dog park in Brentwood on Barrington. It's like the mother of all westside dog parks. So big, that it's easy to lose sight of a dog, especially if you're watching two. Too big for my taste. But great people watching.
Have fun.

Perfect!
You guys sure are helpful. Speeddog wins a beer
Only you will have to meet me somewhere near LAX. And somewhere that I can keep the dogs close by. I'm thinking patio.
If I can persuade anyone else to have a beer with me let me know.
Thanks again guys

Not too sure where you're staying but we're dog friendly here at Hilton LAX
We have some nice gardens on the third floor for a potty stop & we even have Mutt Mitts for those times when business is booming
Nice dog park over in Redondo Beach as well & 2 blocks away is a great coffee house & a self service dog wash
Let me know if you need anything else as I'm here at the Hilton everyday except Mon. & Tues.

Thanks Gus. I had checked with the Hilton but the lady said that the dogs can't be over 25 lbs. Mine are a bit larger.

Sounds like a good place for me to bed down at for a few.
Thanks for the heads up, Gus!
