How to make fireballs!!!

anyone happen to watch mythbusters this week?



they shot sawdust out of a compressed air cannon with a road flare, and it made a huge fireball 

then they did it again with non-dairy coffee creamer and it was even bigger

Didn't have any lighter fluid so I tried it with methyl hydrate (alcohol) last night. Doesn't work, unfortunately. It's too hot to hold. I'll give it another try once I get some more fluid.

This is how grain silo fires go - same basic principles

Fireballs... hmm I've got a couple paintball guns at home...

used an old pair of jeans, and the fireballs hit the deck!  They kinda worked, but were too hot for me to hold. 

gonna have to use t-shirt material.  Don't know if it makes a difference, but that's the only thing I did different from the video (oh yeah, used my own hands instead of someone else's.  Maybe that's the trick.  use someone else's hands - it never burns you!!!)

Usually good for two balls on fire, sometimes one, rarely three.

Ok I did it last night.
The first one I made I wrapped it to loose and I could feel the heat. The second one I wrapped tighter and YES IT WORKS! It gets a little hot but you can hold it for like 8 seconds before you have to let it go. My wife was like WTF are you doing! so I had to end the test at that point. But the flame is much bigger than in the video or maybe I used too much zippo fluid.
