I was hoping we'd have some tshirts or something before MotoGP, but since we don't, we should come up with a way to recognize each other.  I've met quite a few of you, and I'd love to meet more of you.   chug

Maybe post pics of ourselves with our bikes?  Other suggestions?

Rogue and I will be there, but we will be up in the paddock suites.  Undecided

We are also planning on going up the the Duc Indy open house on Thurs. evening.   He will be on a Ti (gray) St4s and I will be on a Yellow ST4, both with NY plates.

I'd sure like to meet some more DMF'ers while I'm at Indy.  I suspect that the Project  Mugello granstands will be filled with 'em...  [unfortunately, I'm not in the Project Mugello stands  :-[]

A couple of us who are coming from MPLS are going to be in the RV parking area (Lot 2).  Maybe we should plan a little tailgate party for the DMF membership?

That would be nice - a little get-together somewhere.  I'll be in the Mugello grandstands.

I like the idea of a Happy Hour.  Do it daily in the afternoons on Friday and Saturday.  chug

I'm not bringing my bike - I'm renting a 31' RV for the weekend, and we'll be in the RV parking lot outside of Gate 5.

There will be one of these decorating the RV:

I'll be there in my car as well. I was in the area visiting the parental units anyway, I am staying with them, about 90 minutes from the track. I'd be up for meeting some of the rest of the DMF

perhaps we can invade someplace sunday evening after the race?  I don't have any suggestions. Sad  Perhaps one of the locals can suggest someplace?

Toasty keeps telling me he wants to go south, so I need to hook him up with a good 'ol boy/girl.

I'll be there with my Dad. Our seats are in the Southwest Vista. I'm always down for a drink!

Mind if a newbie offers a suggestion? I'm not going (unfortunately Sad ) and I'm not a local but I've been to Indianapolis many times for both the USGP (F1) & Indy500.  The favourite place I've been to for Happy Hour is Jillian's...which is near the RCA Dome, Nordstrom, Hooters & the Monument (Meridian Street, I think, but google it).  It is basically a huge sports bar with an entire wall of flat screen tvs (I watched the world cup semi final match between Brazil & France there after F1 qualifying and it was CRAZY).  When the SpeedTV F1 guys (Hobbs, Matchett, Varsha) used to throw their party it was at Jillian's.  Just a thought of a place to check out...last time I was there was a year ago, so don't know if it changed at all.

I think we need to have a Happy Hour at or near the track on Friday and Saturday.  I don't wanna have to drive somewhere if chug is the focal point of the gathering.  Grin

I'll be happy to host a Happy Hour at my RV in Lot 2.  I think good times would be:  5:15 pm Friday (after the Friday MotoGP practice is done) and at 3:30pm on Saturday (after the MotoGP qualifying is done).

Sound like a decent idea?  If anybody has a better plan, I'm all ears.   Smiley

Good point.  I won't ride if I've had half a beer.  I'm a very cheap drunk.  Renaultf1 had a good suggestion.  If you've never been to Jillians (it's a chain), there's a japanese steakhouse place and a bar downstairs, the second floor is a bar/pub food area with gameroom (a ton of video games), and there's a bowling alley on the top floor.  There's a dance floor/area in there somewhere, too, but it's been years since I've lived in Indy, so I forget.  We could meet there one day for a couple of hours.  Another decent place, across the street from Jillians is the Claddaugh, an Irish pub with delicious beef n Guinness stew.  Mmm!
