So every time i remove my gas cap, it hisses and spits at me. Like an angry cobra. Psssht!
Is my tank vapor locking, or is this normal? It did this BEFORE i removed my emissions equipment as well.

When you open the tank, there should be a little rubber bung-thingy sticking up next to the filler hole. Just use a pair of pliers, and yank that sucker out. It's there to prevent any overflow, or tip-over spill, from going out the vent line and straight to the ground. But since your emissions junk is gone, it doesn't matter. Removing it, in either case, will aid in venting the tank, and should reduce the pressure build up in the tank. wt:

My ST2 started doing that, then I noticed that rubber "thingy" was misaligned. It's now sitting in my "bag of stuff I might need sometime" in the left saddlebag. No more problems.
