Your not coming Rob? We enjoyed having a drink and a chat with you guys last year ........................by the way hows Mickyb? have you seen him lately? EGAS Hello Egas, No not this year. I'm off to the states for 5 weeks at the end of the year so there was somthing to sacrifice. Make sure you have a beer for me when you catch up with the group. As for MickyB I spoke to him about 2 months ago. He is looking to move over to the UK for work for a couple of years. And guess what? He rode a motor bike not long before I caught up with him!!! Tell you what he is some little champion. See you next year cos I will be there and hopfully I intend to ride down. Rob PS. Hows hubby going with the new bike?

Well, I rode down to San Remo (Via Cape Paterson - one of us suggested it in the Melbourne coffee thread) and it was brilliant.
I now understand what the GP is all about.
It isn't watching Stoner et. all race round for 45 minutes; nor is it a chance to drown in beer...
It's a celebration of the entire motorcycling culture and to revel in the joy of 2 wheels.
Whoever is going down tomorrow and over the weekend is going to have a blast.
and yes....the police are already of watch, I nodded at one in San Remo and 3 minutes later he was behind me with the sirens on....turns out he didn't like the 4wd in front of me!

get back in time Brimo?
That was a good race - watching positions 2 and 3 and 4 through to 7 was exciting!
and it always good to see 'you-know' win.

Yep got to see the race, and most of the 250s as well, beer in hand, .... such a beautiful circuit, I was there for the first 500 Gp in 1989 (fark doesn't time go fast) now that was a great race too, Gardner, Rainey Sarron, Magee, ahh...the memories..

Turn10 (MG) was carnage corner most of the weekend . Its absaphukkinlootly amazing how Caseys' Duc just launches out of there!! And even with the so-called "traction control" leaving black lines around 11 and 12 and onto the straight. Bucking and jumping all the while ....................Awesome!! [moto]

How good is P.I. Drowned Friday night, bad hangover Saturday morning, slow recovery drinks while watching the historic racing and Superbike/sport support races, talking shit to people we never met before, Cowes Saturday night (although the watered down Christian version) Froze in the tent and being woken by a car doing circle work next to me. Sunburnt Sunday, the racing is almost an anti climax to the weekend, then riding home at dusk with a dark visor. Another typical year

if you're doing a ride school or track day it's a good idea to trailer the bike. if possible. it's a long ride home if you're shagged.
of course, i've never done it. i don't think i've ever ridden to a track day except for sandown. maybe it's the ride home that settles it all down. i always get out of the car sore. and it's a boring trip at the best of times.
