TIPS FOR FINDING INFORMATION

Read the FAQs.  Monster owners love to help others out, but it's not too much to ask you to a do a bit of research before asking what octane gas to use.  If it's a common question, there's a good chance it's in the FAQS.

Use the search button.  It's up near the top.

Eliminate useless or overly common words as search terms.  "The", "and", "Ducati", and "monster" are going to get you too many hits.

Use keywords in your thread title.  Often, the best search is the one using just the keywords in your title.  If you want to know about cleaning white wheels, search "clean wheel."

Get rid of suffixes or plurals.  Searching for "clean" will return results for "clean", "cleans" and "cleaning."  Searching for "cleaning" will only return results for "cleaning."

Try more than one search.  For example, if "clean wheel" gets you too many hits, try "cleaning wheel" or "clean white wheel" or "clean rim" or "grease rim" (assuming you want to know how to get grease off).  Play around with some searches for a while before you determine that the information isn't out there.

Skim through some of the threads in your search results.  Don't just rely on the thread title.  Often the title of the thread doesn't tell you about the gems inside the thread.  More often than not, you'll find exactly what you are looking for by doing a search, clicking on a couple of threads and then following the links in those threads.

Skim the first couple of pages of the forum.  I can't tell you the number of times I've had a question and have found a thread from a day or two before on that very subject just hanging out there on page two or three of the Mods or Tech forum.
