I was perfectly responsible. I backed out at a very safe 156-157mph. After all I was carrying luggage and had a full tank bag. One must consider those things in order to be safe... and responsible. Sort of.  Actually, my personal Bonneville was just down the road a bit. I've buried the tach on that section with less cargo many times. Did I just say that?  Hey, what can I say?
