My current favorite lid is a Bell Star.  I've also got an Arai in the closet.

I've got an assortment of jackets.  I usually wear a motoport stretch kevlar suit for longer rides and fall/spring commuting.  A Joe Rocket Commit jacket and Olympia ranger II pants for winter commuting and a joe rocket phonex and first gear HT air pants for summer commuting.

Joe rocket GPX 2.0 gloves in the summer, First Gear gloves (don't remember the name, but full gauntlet, armored leather, waterproof and lightly insulated) fall/spring and either a pair of alpinestar or held winter gloves in the winter (both thick leather, waterpoof, heavily insulated and armored).

For boots I've got uninsulated, goretex alpinestars, insulated, goretex garnes and uninsulated, vented oxtars.

Earplugs: Always

I got a sweet pair of Dainese Leather pants in black and a great Dainese Leather Jacket in black but damn if I ever see anyone wearing leather pants while out riding if they're not at a track day. Not that I have to do what everyone else does but it doesnt help that my wife tells me I look ridiculous when I'm wearing them. I think they look cool but she's usually right about these things. I'm seriously considering selling them and I've essentially worn them once for a 30min ride.  Embarrassed  What do you guys think?

The first time you come off your bike not wearing leather pants, you'll wish you wore them. I'm talking out of experience Grin

+1.

I had an accident on the street and I was in jeans. Speed of accident was maybe 15-20 mph. I got some road rash above my left knee that has scarred up and is still very noticeable to this day, over a year later.

Today I lowsided my R6 in a turn going 50+ mph (stupidly ran it with shitty tires) in my full 1 piece kangaroo leather suit (Dainese Trickster), back protector with scapula protection, chest protector, Full Metal Pro gloves and Axial Pro In boots. I hopped up, spent the next hour fixing the bike, and continued to ride. I'm not sore, don't have a scratch on me (my person).

GOOD GEAR WILL SAVE YOUR ASS.
