Fack, mang.  Glad you're ok.  That had me worried.

Yeah, I didn't have much time to worry as it happened, but I had this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach all day...

Can you do like we do here -->  take it to the local shop and have them either *almost* total it or total it beyond belief, depending on what you want?  A swingarm should be fairly easy to replace.

Yep, just trying to work out what I want.

You check the cases for cracks?  Where'd you get the brunt?

That's the problem, she clipped the number plate and took out the right hand indicator - she _almost_ managed to swerve around me, but then she went on and tore off the exhaust... The only three places the exhaust mounts are that broken off cast subframe spar, and the cylinder heads. I'm not sure how to check for damage at the exhaust ports (without stripping lots of parts off it).

I'm leaning towards pushing the insurance company to pay out on it, and maybe buy the wreck from them - I could have it back on the road for a few hundred dollars, but I'm certain that if I take it to a workshop they'll have to charge more than the replacement cost. If I can get them to give me reasonable replacement money, then keep the wreck for ~$500 without any rego paperwork drama, I'll probably do that.

There can be problems with insurance "write offs" with engineers certs required for re registration. Can be a real pain. Shocked Undecided

I'd love to claim some advanced riding skills here, but I've honestly got no idea. How she managed to take out my exhaust and indicator without hitting my leg is a complete mystery to me...

Yeah, I found that out with my last Spada - it got written off when mown down while parked - I ended up with I think 14 days to get it re-blue-slipped before an enormous paperwork drama would have started - I just let it go to the big racetrack in the sky...

I always get nervous whenever I'm first to pull up at lights..............
Unfortunately running the orange when it's almost Red can be even worse!

It must have been on hell of a shock ..... followed by instant relief that all of your flesh is all still there.

Shame about the Spada and bugger about being off the road while its getting repaired! Good luck with all of that though.

Good to see your OK Big, like it was said earlier, any bingle you can walk from is a good thing!

Shame about the Bike, but as long it leaves in/on the back of a truck and not you is the main thing!

Shame about the dickhead factor on the roads!!
