So I know this is a day late, but they keep re-playing the clip over and over on ESPN...  How bad have we gotten ripped in the last two games in the last 30 seconds.  I have to hand it to the Panthers b/c that was an amazing throw in the final seconds from Delhomme, but the fumble by Cutler... COME ON!  What kind of excuse is "I blew it."?  If this streak continues into week 3, oh man... I don't think my emotions can handle it.  I about jumped into the ceiling fan at my buds house when we recovered it, then I wanted to cry when it was over turned.  We looked pretty strong I thought, took a little while to get going, but...

That's just the way shit goes, not a whole lot can be done about it.  At the end of the day, all SD had to do was stop a ridiculous 2-point conversion (sorry, I think that was a retarded call no matter what the ESPN analysts say) and they would've won.  They had multiple opportunities in that game to stop Denver and they didn't. Yeah, sometimes you get make the beast with two backsed by a call, but that's the way it goes and you need to move past and forget it, not implode.

coming from someone who has played team sports for the last 25+ years (yes, non-stop of one form or another, excepting when I was injured), and being on teams that were never great, I can only add that no win or loss can ever be attributed to a single play.  Unless every call in the game went erroneously against SD, they had 60 mins of football to put that game away and did not.

Being a broncos fan from the way back, I am accustomed to depressing losses normally at their own hands.  Was the 2 point conversion insanity or brilliance?  It was a lucky completion.  If it had gone the other way, people would be saying it was a stupid call and how great SD is for digging deep to stop the attempt.

Play for the win, maybe?

I agree with most of the points above... I needed to vent a little.  We also had an earlier play that resulted in a Denver TD that should have never happened as well.  But that's they way it goes sometimes I guess, in the end it's still a game.  It would have been even better if we had stopped the 2pt conversion for sure.  Next week is another game and hopefully we look as strong as we did in this game and come out with the win.

Good weekend for me.

Being a Browns fan is hard so San Diego is my secondary team.  I love the way Rivers plays and gets in the defense's face.

Bolts win big against the Pats and then my Brownies destroy the over rated Giants.

No punts, no sacks 4th time that has ever happened.   DA was playing  unconsciously and  the Giants had no answer for anything we were doing be it on offense or defense.  This was the way the team was supposed to play all year long.  Now we are healthy and ready to play.
