Latest updates on power outage and restoration maps from Centerpoint:

http://centerpointenergy.com/staticfiles/ike/outages.html

It looks like more than half got their power restored.  Our neighborhood is still pitch back.  A small candle and my partially charged laptop is all I need here  Grin

I am and have been working out of Austin this whole week.  Please let me know if I can be of assistance to gather information from here.  I am hearing that power is very spotty, gas is scarce, and food is also pretty limited in some places.  I know my house still has no power but it has water.  I have even heard of some reports of looting.  I hope everyone is staying safe back there!  I think I'll be home this weekend.

Looting? The Ducati motofairy left a S2R Dark in my garage last night. Wink

And for those thinking of casing my place I have my .45 loaded with hollow points.  BAM! ...and you got a whole in your head, in your m**F'n head!

been helping out at my parents' restaurant all week.  We got power there on sunday night and opened immediately.  It's been crazy since there's still no real power out in that area (park place and telephone).  We're just trying to get some hot food out to people in the area.  We would give it for free, but it's a small family owned place and we just couldn't afford that, but we've been hearing about some crazy price gouging, and that's just messed up...

Yo Dave, glad to see you post up. I thought about swinging by your place after work but wasn't sure if you would be working. Your folks have power in their home?

Yo, Chill.....beers on me next time, Amigo.......(or 5).

Forgive me if I blew you guys up last week...bad form....I hope everybody is at least dry by now....I did lose a house in the Northridge quake and damn near another in the Topanga fires (pick one, any one) so I sympathize.......

If it makes you guys feel any better, companies large and small all over Austin are pumping relief supplies  your way...Costco has a huge effort, may be worth the while to buzz over to one of them thar stores.....

Joe, have you fired that 45 recently?  You are assuming you'll actually hit something  Grin
