You all figure out the design, legalities and all that jazz.  Sign me up and let me know:
1. When it's ready
2. Who to pay
3. How much I owe
4. When it will be here.

I'm just sayin'...

Oh, and if *anyone* is taking a poll, I'd love a v-neck. Kiss

I have several good designs.  A couple younger hip designs and a couple straight forward "older crowd" ideas.  But I'm not rolling on anything until the Flounders say it's cool.  I don't want any one getting butt hurt over t-shirts.

We can do V-necks.  and we can definitely get them to Australia, or where ever.  Just not sure what the shipping would be on that with out checking.

Well, I was hoping to have a better prepared announcement, like "The shirts are ready, and here's how to order 'em", but this thread has forced my hand.

Shirts are in process, and will be available shortly.

We will announce how to order 'em, so don't order here, and don't PM me with your order yet.

It's frustrating for everyone, guys.

I know people want to help, and that's great.

Sometimes there are also some people who are looking to make a tidy profit from this site too... we fend off quite a lot of bs soliciting and 'cooperative' ad stuff.

And we have good intentions but we are also busy.  So the legit folks who help get frustrated too because we don't jump on stuff.  I often mean to jump on something and before I know it the email gets burried beneath the hundreds of law-related emails I sift through weekly.

Please work with us and understand.  The DMF has been up for about half a year.

Some guys worked pretty hard to get the layout and the site working well, and they rightfully have a sense of pride and ownership.

I never mind an email about something I forgot.   I do, like anyone, mind a public posting calling me out on something I forgot.   Not that it isn't deserved of course, but keeping in mind the goal, it doesn't follow in my mind that it's the best tactic.

We've talked some of letting people do runs of whatever they want with DMF swag.  I think the way to approach that is by pitching it as what it can do for the forum...ie:  I can run shirts for x amount, I need y amount to cover some of my time, and then I would give z amount to the DMF to help support it.

We're all on the same side here, and while I know people desperately want to spend money on something DMF, please have patience.   The site is less than a year old and it's not a business.

 chug

no go wheelie some.  when you get back the DMF will be a little better.

I think you guys should check with the owners of the logo before you start making plans for using it.

Just sayin'

Yes, I already read Speeddog's post later in the thread and am awaiting the official DMF shirt but ...............it's perfectly legal to make anything you want with any logo you want if it's for personal use. Just sayin'

I think the point behind the thread is... Where the hell are the shirts, clutch covers, and countershaft covers! Sheesh you guys have had 3 whole months to get this stuff produced. You got real jobs or something? Tongue

I don't think anyone was calling anyone out.  Just trying to help out and get it done.

If running this place is getting to be too much for the available hands, Maybe it's time to spread the load.
With 3200+ members, I'm sure you could find a few volunteers.
Maybe its time for an Iridium membership level? Unobtanium?

This place runs itself for the most part.

One thing we flounders don't want is over-moderation.

We are adding a few local mods to do housekeeping in local boards as the need arises.

Seems to be working.
