Nice shot!  That reminds me of the time I took my Buell over Montezuma Pass, a 40-mile dirt road in southern AZ with lots of sandy hairpin corners.  It was a lot of fun, doing power slides and  flying by SUVs and jeeps that are supposedly designed to go off-pavement.  Unfortunately, I had to replace my shock absorber and fork seals shortly thereafter.  One of the reasons I got a dirtbike, and vowed not to take my Monster off-road.

You know, I don't really.  I wasn't the original owner, and he had put over 22k miles on it, so I never felt like it was truly "mine."  The 749s more than satisfies my sportbike needs, and the Sporty is perfect for around town and the occasional relaxed cruise.  I'm actually content, bike-wise.

I love this picture. Paul and Charles were having this really in-depth conversation about the coming storm... "do we go this way? that way?" And then they turn around at the same time to see me taking pictures. Priceless.

Nice memories... Just passed through there yesterday.  No thunderstorms this time.  Some shocking news to report:  Santos Mexican Cafe in Patagonia is no more.  It is the end of an era.  For me, that place was synonymous with motorcycling in southern AZ.

Any takers for the S2R?  Why not put it in "Monsters for Sale" here on the DMF?  Or try ebay like I did to sell my Buell?  By the way, how is the move North going?

Alas, not an action shot, but a photo from a fun Friday morning run down & back up the Hwy. 89 twisties from Prescott to Yarnell for Breakfast; me following Alan & Felicia's Cagivas on my ST2.

More than two Cagiva's in one place equals a 'Rally'.

A few more local pix, these from a quick run this morning down to Skull Valley; I'm slowly starting to remember to carry a camera, the next step is to remember to actually take it out of my pocket once in a while...

Looking down toward Skull Valley below, with a thunderstorm chasing me up the hill:

And up toward Granite Mountain & home in Prescott:

And yes, when I got home I noticed that my fake carbon-fiber, magnetic tank protector was crooked.  Tongue
