I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

anybody know about bicycle tools?
one of the bike shops i worked at had one of these, no one else realized the value of these tools so i basically had to hide from most of the employees. and when i left i may have accidentally left a spanner or two in my own tool box... got to remember to return them one of these days
(pic from interwebs, ours was in much nicer shape from what i can see)
one of these kits just sold for over $3k on ebay

No. And I don't think I own anything worth that much, either. Bike included.

For those tha think snap-on is unobtainable, keep an eye on fleabay. You can typically find new stuff for 50% off the truck.
You can find good used for even less than that.
Great, now I just created more bidding competition for myself.

My only problem with snap-on is not working where they regularly stop.
I have a couple snap on wrenches and a ratchet that are broken, and am having a hell of a time getting them replaced.
Found a local distributor in the phone book, but he won't exchange my shit because I didn't buy it from him.
And I' don't think I should have to pay ship it anywhere.

I wondered about that for the non every day mechanic who is 20k in debt to the snap-on truck driver.
I bought all of my snap-on stuff when I worked 'full time' at a big garage during summers in highschool. Now that I don't live there, I was wondering if I would run into problems trying to exchange tools.

I worked the last 3 years abusing my tools. Water, corrosive chemicals, rusty parts that required some not so recommended uses, etc...
I used Craftsman for those three years, and only had one tool fail... a screwdriver. Have to give props to sears... they truly live by their "no questions asked" policy.
Don't get me wrong, Snap-On makes great tools. But for the home user, Craftsman seems to make more sense. They're less expensive, and being able to run to sears for exchange instead of tracking down a truck makes things more simple. Unless of course you don't have a local Sears store.

Hmm, I'm moved a couple times, so I've changed snap-on guys a couple times and I've never had a problem with him shipping out tools for me (ones that I didn't purchase through him). Usually, I'll just meet him at one of his stops (wherever he is when I call him) and then he waits for me, we do the business and I go on my way. I've never had any problem like yours...

I'm an aircraft mechanic and I mainly use craftsman tools. There good tools at a decent price. Snap-on may make them better, but they cost SO much more.
