Thats a really good question? I wonder if they just overcome that with a whole bunch of force? I mean if you hit the rear wheel with enough torque it should turn over...right?

I kinda like that idea....its a extension of the just use a bigger hammer ideology, but that doesn't mean its anywhere near based in reality...

As for that pin idea, you would probably have to pull the clutch cover off, but I usually carry a few allens with me and thats a easy thing to do if it would mean being able to bump start the bike.

BUT with that being said my bike must hate me or I'm just so short its tough to get the bike going fast enough in a parking lot to bump start cause the ONE time I needed to do that, it would just lock up the rear tire and drag it.

If you look at this video you will notice the mechanic remove something from the clutch after the engine starts.

You gonna love that clutch Hypur. waytogo

The feel at the clutch lever will be a little disconcerting at first.  It has to do with the balls coming up on the ramps.

Don't worry about it. waytogo

I can feel a little 'click' when operating the lever.
