This an easy thing to do? Can I retain original top triple and bars?

Depends on your definition of easy.  If your bike is a relatively recent one with 65mm caliper mounts and 25mm axle it's reasonably straightforward.  I used the same model forks on my monster (actually mine were 998 ones, with shiny gold legs, but the dimensions are the same).  I kept my original top triple but bored it out to 53mm and shimmed out the bottom triple.  I didn't keep my bars though.  Stock bars will hit the adjusters on the top of the forks.  You have to either raise the bars to clear them or remove them altogether and use clipons.  I had to bore my axle to allow me to adjust the damping on the bottom, but the auction includes a superbike axle.

Here's a thread showing the process I used.  http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=41414.msg740226#msg740226

Since then I've done some further work on the top triple to clean it up, removing the bar mounts, and also removing some material from the clipons so that I can get my bars a little more swept back and get more steering lock.

Definitely get those forks.  They'll make your monster handle awesomely.

Posting for a friend @ the shop. Sharp Racing Ducati monster centre stand. Used once or twice, virtually mint. Red. Was $160 back when it was Ducati Novo, now so cheap I can't mention the price online. Speak to Brian at Metro Ducati in Ringwood if you're keen. Last one!!! I got the 2nd last Smiley

Now that the 1098 is gone I've got a couple of parts left.

Rear stand, Kaneg brand. Suit 1098, 848 etc. Good unit. Good nick. Paid about $200.00. Thinking $120.00 ono. Pick up from Nth Brisbane (Business Hours) or West Brisbane (After Hours) or you can pay pack and send to pack it and send it to wherever you like. Apparently fits 2011+ Multistrada as well?? PM me for more pics, offers, comments etc.

HID light kit suit 1098. Removed from the bike working, presume it still does. Nice bright kit. White 8000w kit I think. Paid about $180.00 delivered. Sell $60.00. Pick up or delivery as above. Pm me for more info as above too.

Thanks.

Termi mufflers have been sold.

Make an offer on the stand or HID kit if you want.

Thanks.
