You can probably get some from Hong Kong in under a week with free delivery for $20 ... unless of course you need to spend $200 on a 'proper' pair.

Do you have any experience with the cheapies? Would have thought they'd rust and look crap after a while.

The Boss has. She had some on the little beastie for a couple years before a car decided they should be smashed onto the road ... they have been replaced and neither show/were showing rust or other problems.

Keep in mind that, with regard to her bikes, moisture is avoided where possible and they are kept snug in the shed with a blankie and bedtime stories.

Originally they were purchased with the intent of 'trying bar-end mirrors' ... because what's the worse that could happen - you waste $20.

The Boss has.

Might have to give them a go. As you said, only a few dollars...

personally i hate them

they a too small to be useful as mirrors

so they didnt last to long on my bike

if i could find them in the garage i would give them away

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Yet I am amazed whenever I get on the Boss' bikes as to how much I can see and how effortless it is to see more than I can compared to my not-inexpensive rizoma (non bar-end) mirrors.

Convex is great just remember that 'objects are closer than they appear'.

Dainese Razon Perforated Leather Jacket - size 40 US 50 EU

Price: $450 ONO

I ordered this from Europe about 3 months ago, its in 100% as new condition, was only worn on one ride.

As expected from Dainese the quality is amazing. It looks great on and off the bike - a classic, casual look while also maintaining a high level of protection with the GP spec armour. This is also one of the only jackets you can find that has a good casual look while also being perforated - great for Aussie weather.

I can get pics of the jacket itself later this week, I am away with work at the moment.

Also available is a Dainese Shield Air Level 2 back protector (CE Level 2 rating) insert to suit, brand new in packaging, for an additional $50.

Cheers,
Matt

Personally I found them to be 10x better than stock mirrors, you can see to the sides and behind you thanks to the wide lens and positioning of the mirrors. Couldn't see anything but my torso in the standard mirrors.

Of course if they're cheap chinese ones they might not be so good.. I have nothing but praise for the moto deluxe mirrors.

It's For Sale folks.

If you are a Monster fan then you know what this bike is, for those unfamiliar it’s a naked 999 SBK. That’s how hard it goes, there is little in the Monster range new or old that will light your hair on fire like this bike.
I know what people always say, this is a regretful sale and the wife says it has to go, new family, buying a house etc….
This is simple it needs a new home not because it’s not loved (just look at it) and not because I don’t want it just because using it for what I have been doing lately is not doing it justice.
So the list of mods;

-   Gold painted wheels with painted pin stripe.
-   Ohlins suspension front and rear (of course, as it’s the S model)
-   TSS slipper clutch, new basket and plates
-   Carbon belt cover (standard) but vented modified.
-   Black powder coated radiator and oil cooler.
-   SBK front guard.
-   CRG lane splitter mirrors.
-   Full Speedy Moto Triple clamp with Speedy Moto tall boys (clipons).
-   Full Titanium/Carbon Akrapovic exhaust with DP Race ECU.
-   Open air box and K&N filter.
-   Sargent seat.
-   Lowered headlight and instrument cluster.
-   Billet frame plugs all round.
-   LED tail light.
-   Rizoma rearsets.
-   Carbon chain guards.
-   Heated grips.
-   Speedy Moto Billet front sprocket cover, quick change AFAM rear sprocket Carrier.
-   Rizoma Billet pill bottles for clutch/brake (front&rear).
-   SP Electronics gear indicator.
-   Carbon shift rod on the rearsets.
-   STM oil breather and regulator re-postion.
-   Venture bag and rack, bagster tank bag and tank cover matched to the bike.
-   Braking wave rotors front and rear.
-   CRG blindspot lane split mirrors (the folding type)

I have all the keys for the bike including the “red key” along with all the books.
It has always been serviced by Ducati professionals, firstly at Fly Wheels then at D Moto. George has always taken care of my bike, most in Sydney and beyond know him and Shaun at D Moto.
It has 42,000 (odd) thousand k’s so yes I have ridden it and enjoyed it that is for sure but it’s now time for someone new to carry on with it.

Owes me.......................................................................... lots and lots
Asking $16,800, rego May 2013

I would ask for loads and loads more but you know what happens when you are selling, can't ask for any money for mods.

Hit my flickr sets on MattyVas for more photos.

I always thought your bike was the one that won the 4V section at concourse this year...clearly not!

Who's was it that won?

WTB -

Anyone got a set of Suburban Machinery bars laying around they would like to offload? Preferably the M1 type. Thought I would try here before trying for new.

Thanks mate, I know it's cheap for what it is, but if I put a price on it that it owes me there wouldn't be a sale it's be a laugh.
