Howdy all

As per Widers....Spiders reccomendation, Cumulus Inc. in flinders Lane (45) about 100m from Spring street at the top of the city.

Spider will no doubt be first to arrive, look for a tall lanky bloke, facing the door admiring the local wildlife.

Gunna have to fix stripped 6mm bolt now that holds the clutch cover/housing.  Shocked

Wont be making the coffee meet tomorrow now!!

I was checking and cleaning the beast after getting drowned coming back from the Island and I find an oil leak (seep) from the back of the clutch housing.  Huh?
Duly got the allen key out to check for bolt tension and BLAH!! the long bolt at the back and 3 down from the top was just sorta hanging there!!  Roll Eyes

It appears that it was only connecting by about 4 or 5 threads and for some reason they have let go. Strange cos I havent touched that one as its one of them that you dont have to remove to take the cover off. Some ham fisted bastard in the past has more than likely used an impact gun and then used some thread locker/adhesive to cover their tracks (By the look of the blue substance on the end of the bolt.) Angry

I hope a longer bolt will have enough thraed to grip, or its off with the clutch, basket et al and the cover and out with the helicoils.........................geeez grouse!! Sad

You always have to work on your bike for these coffee mornings.
Why don't you just come clean and admit you are too shy to attend. You'll feel much better.

Heather, you hurtful wench,  Wink.
Last time it was the other halfs bike!! And I aint gunna not fix that one (Cos I know whats good for me  Grin ) and I'm going back to work on Monday after some leave and need the bike, so I've gotta do the mend while I can get supplies of helicoils etc if I need them.  Huh?
Shifts permitting, I WILL be there next time.  waytogo. [moto]

Even though I AM an extremely shy and retiring sorta fella. cheeky
