This weekend brought the close of an amazing season of racing the Monster. I had another great weekend of podium finishes, and intense elbow rubbing racing with some fierce competitors. (some of them Monsters) We were on the new short course at the legendary B.I.R. which brought lap times for all classes much closer together. It's an extremely technical layout which made battling for corners very intense at times. I had a blast!

(results have not been officially updated yet)
My 2008 results:

overall CRA Novice championship...somewhere in the top 5
overall Ultralightweight championship...1st place
Team Challenge endurance series...2nd
Framstad Cup Challenge...3rd

(below is each individual UL class championship)
Ultralight Supersport...1st place
Ultralight GP...1st place
Ultralight Sportsman...2nd place
Ultralight Superbike...3rd place

I've had so much fun this year but I'm glad it's over. I'm moving to expert now so I'm considering making some serious changes to the Monster for next year. I'll be up against at least three 450 motos, and some built 620s, so I'll probably bump my displacement up to 680cc which will not be SS legal but will make me competitive in the expert UL class for GP and SB against these 450s. So it's probably engine work, wheels, and adjustable front end for my battle monster...can't wait! Oh, and I know someone considering putting a Moto ST team together and I was offered a seat if it happens!

Thanks for the support and words of encouragement from some of you on here this season. I hope that you enjoyed me sharing updates here and there. I'll be updating my website in the next couple weeks with the final race report and pics for 2008.

Thanks guys!  Grin  It's been a whole lotta fun!

Tufty, good question. I think a 900ss...you would think an important detail like that I should know Roll Eyes I'm pretty sure that's right.

Spidey, I'll wait to see what pics come out of this last race weekend. I have a couple I can throw up for now.

Here's me leading Aaron Colton. If anyone went to either of the US MotoGPs, you may have seen him. He was stunting at both. He was also the kid stunting on the front page of the Indy newspaper. This is me racing him on his RS125. When he was on this bike, we were fairly evenly matched. We battled hard corner to corner but he's so crazy that he passes on inside curbing, outside curbing, doesn't matter. Give him an inch, he will take it. I had to be really aggressive on the brakes with him because of his insane divebombing abilities. This weekend he was on a TZ250...holy cow he is fast on that thing!

Here is one of me and my biggest competitor this year. He took second in the class championship. He is also on a M620. We spent a lot of time rubbing elbows and fairings this year. In fact, I had to clean off black marks on my tail section from his front tire rubbing it while at full lean!  laughingdp

I have lots more but I'll just throw these up for now.
