Both are ugly in my opinion but if I had to pick, the 696 does have some good points and some clean lines.  What is with the exhaust on new bikes.   [puke]

Yea, I just saw the new Suzuki line this morning and thought the 650 to look an awful lot like a 696. Flattery I guess.

slap on a ducati seat and tail, add a ducati logo and headlight and here you go  [clap]

and then add a red frame/paint scheme and its even closer

That looks really good, IMO.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

The more I look at it with the Monster seat, the more I think it would pass as one to the casual observer.
