Thanks for all the help.  I will definatly try Valley when my 12K comes up.  For tires I will probably just suck it up and go to Del Amo as their prices aren't that bad for the tires I am looking for (pilot road 2) and it is all of 2 minuites from work.  Unfortunalty I don't have stands yet so I will just have to drop the bike off as spend the $50 for them to mount them.

Last time I needed service (two months ago) I made an apointment a week prior. I've never had a hard time getting in there. He did mention he got some great customers from DML referrals and some really bad ones as well. He gun shy unless you are referred from a current customer is my take on it.

He was always really cool to me, but since this guy is a new customer it's gonna take him a while to get in.  And I totally understand Scotty's position too.  If you book as much work as he does, why deal with shitty customers?

If you are in the South Bay the two places I've gone for tires are Cycle Gear in Lomita on PCH and a Moto Tires only place on Western about a half mile above PCH.  Sorry, I can't think of the name.  (I'll look it up and post the info ASAP) The two times I bought tires at this shop I went in feeling like it was going to be more expensive than Cycle Gear but rode off feeling like I got a better price.  I know it sounds wierd but. . .

The guy on Western will swap out tires on the bike for $70 total IIRC.  Cycle Gear only mounts tires off the bike and I believe it is $15 a tire.

my friend is a certified ducati technician.  he works and does repairs, maintenance, upgrades and stuff like that out of his garage.  i go to him for almost all of my bike needs.  he'll hook you up, just tell him i sent you.  if you're interested, let me know i'll give you his number.

That's unusual. Maybe three references you left all owe him money. 

My opinion is he is great Ducati mechanic and inexpensive. Hell, he even serviced the R6 for me. $65.

if valley ducati is convenient for you, then use Nick there.   He is a good honest mechanic that is very easy to work with as far as scheduling and such.

So far I have not heard a bad word about his work from anyone or anywhere on this board at any time.

The only other person that I would trust as much is Stu of flightcycles, but since he is only doing custom work he is no longer an option for me.
